Adventure region Graz in winter
Variety and adventure are very important in Graz. The old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, impresses with its historical charm and modern vibrancy. Whether a visit to the “friendly alien” aka Kunsthaus, a medieval excursion to the Zeughaus, a curious city tour with the night watch or a leisurely walk to the clock tower on the Schlossberg – the variety is inexhaustible. Especially in the winter months, Graz impresses with its numerous Christmas markets and Christmas illuminations, which transform the city into a glittering winter wonderland. Where the city boasts cultural highlights, the region around Graz scores with lush nature and numerous outdoor experiences. The picturesque vineyards, the “local mountain” Schöckl and the surrounding lakes are perfect for exploring by bike or on foot. Gourmets and connoisseurs can enjoy culinary highlights such as Styrian pumpkin seed oil and first-class wine.
