Adrenaline junkies get their money’s worth on the Gemeindealpe with a freeride area, speed track and the best snow park in Lower Austria.

Snowshoeing in the Mariazell region
Mariazellerland offers snowshoe hikers countless opportunities to climb the nearest mountain and even catch a glimpse of 3 lakes. Those who prefer to walk along the slopes will find the perfect snowshoe route to the Gemeindealpe, where a fantastic panorama awaits. There are various routes from the valley to the 1,626-metre-high summit.

Cross-country skiing in Mariazell
The Mariazell region is a real cross-country skiing paradise: Countless excellent trails such as the St. Sebastian trail, the Walster trail, the Oberwegscheid trail and many more form a varied network of trails. A total of 53 km lead winter romantics and sports enthusiasts through the white winter landscape, in Erlaufsee the trail even leads right past the hotel.
