Bathing spots at Lake Constance
Go swimming with your dog!
There are numerous outdoor pools and lidos around Lake Constance where we can refresh ourselves. With a four-legged companion, it’s suddenly not quite so easy to enjoy the beach and water – dogs are prohibited at many bathing spots. But they do exist, the beautiful places where your dog can run around freely and cool off! The following list shows some of the most beautiful dog beaches and bathing spots around Lake Constance – but please pay attention to any signs at the bathing spots, as these can change at any time.
- Upper Lake
- Manzell recreational area in Friedrichshafen: Zeppelinstraße 255/1, 88048 Friedrichshafen

Dogs are generally required to be kept on a lead in Wangen. Free-roaming dogs can trigger flight reactions in wild animals, which means stress and danger for the animals. Grazing animals also often feel provoked. Please keep your dogs on a lead to protect nature and other living creatures.
Please use the dog waste bags provided to dispose of your dog’s excrement. Dog excrement that is not removed can lead to infections in grazing livestock. Thank you for your responsible behavior!

First aid tips for your four-legged friend
How do I react correctly in the event of heatstroke, insect bites, poisoning or other emergencies? Acting quickly and correctly can be crucial and save lives. That’s why we’ve put together some important tips for you here.
Please note: After first aid, a trip to the vet or veterinary clinic is essential! Dogs are very active and, just like us humans, can consciously or unconsciously get into various situations. To prevent accidents, you should always keep your dog on a lead on roads and in the woods. Make sure that he doesn’t eat anything strange when you take him for a walk, and after eating it is important to give his stomach a rest, as there is a risk of gastric torsion, especially in larger dogs.
