The new 4-star JUFA Hotel in the heart of Bad Radkersburg impresses with its location in the border triangle of Austria, Slovenia and Hungary and its direct connection to the Mur Cycle Path. Hotel guests also enjoy the variety of the Parktherme Bad Radkersburg spa, which has been honoured as Austria’s thermal spa of the year several times, with 4 hours of included admission per night! While some explore the adventure spa, others experience the relaxing effects of the thermal water, an extensive sauna area and the vitality studio with spa & massages! The house tells its very own history, which begins with the origins of Bad Radkersburg as a spa town and is now being reinterpreted and revitalised. What was once the spa centre has become a lively meeting place in the Kurpark gardens right next to the old town. The historic “Wandelhalle” pump room, which impresses with its clear architectural form, now houses a cosy restaurant and café with a wine lounge. It goes without saying that in addition to regional specialities such as Styrian tapas, “classics” are also served. Of course, the food is locally produced and complimented by the mineral water from the Urquelle spring, which is located directly in the building and to which the town owes the addition “Bad” (“bath”).
Water is an integral part of the city and the new JUFA Hotel. This is also due to its proximity to the River Mur, which forms the border between Styria and Slovenia, spanned by a bridge, and is part of the unique UNESCO biosphere park “Amazon of Europe”. For some, the adventure on the Mur perhaps begins at its source. One of the most beautiful cycle paths in Austria – the Mur Cycle Path – leads from Salzburg’s Lungau region all the way to Croatia.
In any case it passes Bad Radkersburg, the town that knows what cyclists need. The JUFA Hotel is equipped as a certified “Bett & Bike” bike touring establishment. In addition to secure storage spaces for bikes, there are refreshments for dry throats, cosy beds to rest in and hosts who always have a good tip for the next excursion in the region.

A visit to the “Quell des Lebens” (“Source of Life”) exhibition located directly inside the hotel allows visitors to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Bad Radkersburg’s thermal and mineral water. The room staging created by look! design is a unique combination of artistic aesthetics and informative entertainment. It allows visitors to experience water in all its aspects – as the source of life, as a mirror of history and as an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

The three highlights:
Upon entering the room, guests are surrounded by a water projection covering the whole room that creates a special atmosphere. The visual impression is acoustically enhanced by the sounds of water, creating an all-round immersive experience.
The “fountain installation” is located in the centre of the room. A glance into the fountain transports you into a poetic world of images that provides information on the topics of water, vulcanisation and viticulture in the region. This installation is not only a visual highlight, but also symbolises the deep connection between the region and the element of water.
The “pipe installation” echoes the appearance of the well drilling in the adjoining room. Interactive elements with exciting content are hidden in the pipes: Audio texts, information flaps, a rotating wheel and a screen provide visitors with interesting facts about thermal and mineral water and Parktherme Bad Radkersburg spa.

Getting there
The JUFA Hotel Bad Radkersburg**** is located in Bad Radkersburg, in the middle of the beautiful Kurpark and only a few steps away from the town centre. The JUFA Hotel can be reached quickly and easily by car. Parking is available directly at the hotel for a fee of €5 per night.
From the north (Vienna) via the A2 motorway (Südautobahn): Towards Graz – exit Ilz-Fürstenfeld – turn right towards Ilz – continue towards Feldbach (B66) – Bad Gleichenberg to Purkla – turn left onto the B69 towards Bad Radkersburg – take the first exit (Longlife) at the 2nd roundabout
From the north (Salzburg/Linz) via the A9 (Pyhrn motorway): Direction Graz – through the Plabutschtunnel – motorway junction Graz West (roundabout) – continue towards Slovenia on the A9 – exit Gersdorf – along the B69 – drive through Mureck to Bad Radkersburg – take the first exit (Longlife) at the 2nd roundabout
From the west (Carinthia): Towards Vienna/Graz on the A2 to the Graz junction, continue on the A9 towards Slovenia – take the Gersdorf exit – follow the B69 – drive through Mureck to Bad Radkersburg – take the first exit (Longlife) at the 2nd roundabout
From Graz main station: S5 to Spielfeld-Straß – change to the S51 to Bad Radkersburg (there are also some direct connections from Graz to Bad Radkersburg) – Citybus 555 to the shopping centre (Monday – Saturday, if working day)
