In the picturesque Rhineland-Palatinate, the new JUFA Hotel Bernkastel-Kues opens its doors, bringing you closer to the vibrant city and its idyllic nature. You can look forward to 63 cozy rooms—ranging from double rooms and family rooms to suites, some even with their own loggia.
Bernkastel-Kues is a place to feel good and enjoy: it offers a perfect setting for extensive shopping tours with its wide range of specialty stores, chic boutiques, and numerous small shops. Stroll leisurely through the historic town with its romantic cobblestone streets, experience relaxation and a cozy atmosphere in charming street cafés, and get a glimpse into the shopping world of the Moselle town at the “Bernkast‘ler Fenster,” Germany’s smallest experiential department store.
On the open Sundays, Bernkastel-Kues offers even more to experience: street theater featuring acrobats and mimes, live music, and sometimes the historic marketplace is transformed into a sea of flowers—a feast for the senses.

Bernkastel-Kues is also a place for celebration, and that happens for (almost) every occasion and season. From June to August, enjoy live music at the summer stage, or experience the almost legendary Christmas market with fireworks and torchlight swimming during the Advent season! There’s also plenty of culture with concerts, cabaret, and children’s theater at historically significant locations like the Machern Monastery, the Cusanus Foundation, or the Cusanus Birthplace. Speaking of which, not only is there a permanent exhibition about the city’s most famous son, but contemporary exhibitions and theater performances also find their place here.

The hotel in Kues
The hotel stands in the Kues district, right next to the Moselbad pool and the Moselle. By rail you travel to Wittlich and continue on bus line 300.
- 63 accessible rooms with 191 beds, some with a balcony, from double rooms to apartments with two separate rooms
- Restaurant seating around 120 and a wine lounge. Breakfast buffet from 7 to 10.30 am, at weekends and on public holidays until 11 am, evening buffet from 6 to 9 pm, both open to guests not staying at the hotel
- Garden with a sun terrace, a sunset roof terrace looking over the Moselle, and a boccia court
- Fitness equipment in the house, lift
- Dogs are welcome all year round, surcharge and available rooms on request
- Parking at the hotel for €3 per night, coach parking around 300 metres away

An old school, put to new use
The JUFA Hotel Bernkastel-Kues is not a new build. It was created by converting an old school, whose foundation walls were kept. Building materials that were no longer needed during the conversion were reused elsewhere in the house.
Heating comes from heat pumps, and a ventilation system supplies every room with filtered fresh air.
Free admission to the Moselbad
Guests of the JUFA Hotel get free admission to the Moselbad in Bernkastel-Kues. The pool is right next to the hotel.

Getting there

- From the north: Via the A1, exit Wittlich-Mitte.
- From the east: Via the B50, exit Bernkastel-Kues.
Bernkastel-Kues is easily accessible via the B53 federal highway. The Burgberg tunnel provides a direct connection to the Hunsrück.
