In the morning, have breakfast at Wolferl’s restaurant on the extended sun terrace, while the kids have fun in the spacious 2-story indoor play area “Wolferl’s Kids Club.”
History comes alive on city breaks to Salzburg! Getting there
Salzburg main station offers numerous local and long-distance transport connections. The ÖBB and WESTbahn websites provide more detailed information about travelling by train.
- Coming from the station by foot: Walk towards the city centre – Altstadt Süd (continue along the Salzach River – against the direction of the river’s flow) until you reach the Nonntal Bridge – continue on towards Hellbrunn – turn left into the Josef Preis Allee at the Hypo Nonntal.
- Travelling from the station by bus: Take the bus from the bus station at the train station forecourt – take the 5 or 25 routes until you arrive at the stop in front of the court building (seventh stop). A single ticket costs approx. €1.40 – you can buy your ticket in advance at the train station and at tobacconists; tickets cost approx. €2 if you buy them from the bus driver.
As a guest, enjoy free access to all public transport from the moment you arrive in SalzburgerLand with the Guest Mobility Ticket. For more information, please visit the website.
You can park at the hotel for a fee.
Travelling from Munich: Take the Salzburg South exit – continue on the Alpenstrasse, Hellbrunner Strasse until you reach the roundabout at the Nonntal Bridge/court building (DO NOT continue over the bridge, but take the left lane and merge in with the traffic) – turn off onto Petersbrunnstrasse – turn left after the zebra crossing (BEFORE the HypoBank) and continue on to the end of Josef-Preis-Allee (=dead end street) – the JUFA Hotel Salzburg City**** is located at the end of the street.
Travelling from Vienna: Take the North exit – Salzburger Strasse, Vogelweiderstrasse, Schallmoser Hauptstrasse (past the ZentrumImBerg shopping centre) continue on towards Hallein, Fürbergstrasse, Gaisbergstrasse (turn right at the crossroads) Bürglsteinstrasse (turn left) as far as the Nonntal Bridge, at the roundabout at the court building, turn off into Petersbrunnstrasse towards the Hypo-Bank, … continue following the directions as if travelling from Munich. Tip: it is easier to take the Salzburg south exit then continue following the instructions as if you are travelling from Munich.
