City Wall tour
The preserved city wall dates back to the year 1327. Today, as it was then, one can only enter the city through one of the five city gates. On a 2.7 km long tour, you’ll walk around the old town along the ancient city wall.

Geopark Ries
The region, literally out of this world, has much to offer. About 15 million years ago, a rock from outer space crashed with full force, and today it can be admired as a gigantic and one of the best-preserved craters worldwide.
Church tower Daniel
The approximately 90-meter-high tower is named “Daniel” after a Bible verse and holds great significance for the city. In the past, two guards stood watch here day and night to ensure the safety of the residents from fire and enemies. In the darkness, gatekeepers and guards had to shout “So, G’sell, so!” loudly.
A special highlight is that even today, the tower watchman on duty calls out this former guard call every half hour from 10:00 PM to midnight from the tower room!
