The ultimate paradise for mountain bikers

Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Saalbach Hinterglemm is a paradise for mountain bike enthusiasts. With over 400 km of marked trails and legendary routes like the Hacklberg Trail or the X-Line Trail on Schattberg, pros and adrenaline junkies will be in their element. Families, too, will find relaxed routes, such as the Zwölferkogel Tour, which features moderate climbs and breathtaking views.

TIP: JOKER CARD holders can transport their bike twice a day for free with a mountain lift and enjoy a 20% discount on bike tickets purchased on-site. These tickets grant unlimited access to all mountain lifts, including bike transport in Saalbach Hinterglemm, the Epic Bikepark Leogang, and Fieberbrunn. By the way, you’ll receive the JOKER CARD automatically for free when staying at the JUFA Alpenhotel Saalbach****!

Movement therapy for adrenaline junkies

Schladming-Dachstein

The region around Schladming-Dachstein offers a perfect combination of challenging trails and stunning panoramas. Downhill enthusiasts will find a variety of diverse routes, as the Schladming Bike Park and Reiteralm Trails feature an impressive network of tracks. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced downhill rider, there’s something for everyone. In addition to classics like the Flowline, Uphill Flow Trail, and Jumpline, the bike park also boasts a World Cup downhill course – but only for true pros. Right at the Planai valley station, at the Bike School Pekoll, led by former MTB Downhill pro Markus Pekoll, experts are available for every skill level. Beginners can start in the Bike Area, where they can learn their first curves with the coaches from the bike school. By the way, in collaboration with the Bike School Pekoll, we are once again offering our popular Kids’ Bike Camp this year. You’ll have the best bike instructors in the region right on-site, teaching you everything from bike stability to perfecting your turns and much more!

Your place to ride

Montafon

In Montafon, Vorarlberg, 260 kilometers of bike and mountain bike paths await you. These include both relaxing and challenging tours, some of which involve a bit of carrying your bike. Downhill enthusiasts will find numerous routes in the Brandnertal Bike Park for that extra adrenaline rush. If you’re in Vorarlberg, you can’t miss Montafon. Here, you can discover the Gauertaler AlpkulTour Trail, which offers not only fun riding but also cultural insights. A more relaxed option for families is the Illtour, a flat route along the Ill River, suitable even for young mountain bikers. So, what are you waiting for? Pedal hard and conquer the mountain landscapes of Rätikon, Silvretta, and Verwall!

A detour to the Brandnertal Bike Park is a must! Perfectly accessible from Germany and Switzerland via the A14 highway, the bike park is beautifully nestled in the picturesque mountain world of the Rätikon. 30 kilometers of trails in every variation – from enduro and single trails to flowlines, freeride, and downhill tracks – await mountain bikers of all levels!

Lakes, mountains and trails

Salzkammergut

The Salzkammergut region combines the beauty of the Alps with the serenity of the lakes. There are plenty of great reasons to spend a biking holiday in the Dachstein Salzkammergut region. One of the highlights is the mountain bike tour through the Echerntal in Hallstatt, where you’ll conquer 1,000 meters of elevation in one stretch – a challenge that will definitely test your calves and thighs. Following in the tracks of the Salzkammergut Trophy athletes, the narrow path along the Eternal Wall in Bad Goisern by Lake Hallstatt offers not only thrills but also a breathtaking panorama. If you need a break, we also recommend more leisurely tours through alpine meadows surrounded by forests and fields in Gosau at Dachstein.

Prefer a little less challenge? No problem, the region also offers numerous mountain bike routes for beginners, such as the Iglmoos Loop or the Trophy Training Loop.

Cool add-on: The Salzkammergut even has its own MTB competence center. Mountain bikers can enjoy comprehensive support from bike specialists, including guided individual and fixed tours, technique training, services, and even bike taxis – all handled by expert guides and local partner businesses.

Flow á la Schwarzwald

Schwarzwald

Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, everyone will find something to enjoy in our region. If you’re not pushing your limits, you’re not challenging yourself enough. With over 8,500 kilometers of mountain bike trails, the Black Forest offers an incredible variety of trails, landscapes, and athletic challenges. A true highlight is the bike park in Bad Wildbad, where adrenaline junkies can fully satisfy their thrill-seeking cravings. The downhill tracks are demanding, offering plenty of action from tight corners to wide jumps. The freeride lines are perfect for advanced riders looking to improve their skills, while the practice area gives beginners a chance to gain their first experiences.

Another popular spot is the Todtnau Bike Park, one of the oldest bike parks in Germany. It’s especially famous for its legendary 3-kilometer-long downhill track, which climbs 450 meters in elevation. The mix of rooty sections, steep descents, and technical challenges makes it a must-visit for experienced bikers.

If you’d like to ride off the beaten path, a detour to Baiersbronn is highly recommended. The trails there are a real insider tip. Beautifully embedded in nature and far less crowded than the well-known bike parks, you can ride in peace, enjoy the tranquility, and refuel at one of the cozy inns or huts in the area.

The Black Forest also offers numerous e-bike-friendly infrastructures, including charging stations at popular tour points and welcoming rest stops with excellent service. Plan your next mountain bike adventure in this versatile region – and discover trails that will undoubtedly inspire you!
