The JUFA Hotel Pyhrn-Priel*** has a special surprise for its guests – a museum! The Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner Museum is connected directly to the JUFA Hotel Pyhrn-Priel. The museum celebrates extreme mountaineers and the world’s tallest mountains that rise 8,000 metres above sea level. You will not find a more comfortable way to reach the summits of the highest mountains in the world!
Between heaven and earth:
Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner is a native of the village of Spital am Pyhrn and is a famous extreme climber. The museum is named after her and she is also a patron of this fascinating exhibition. Original diary extracts provide accounts of extreme adventures in alpine conditions, the 8 metre high K2 climbing tower provides adrenaline kicks and the alpine museum carries visitors away to another world of extreme conditions.
hiking with the aid of an app
Hiking fans will love the museum’s great hiking app: the app’s ‘base camp’ is the Bosruckhütte. From here you can climb up to 2,244 metres to the summit of the Grosse Pyhrga mountain. Let’s go!
