In the heart of the municipality of Bleiburg at the foot of the Petzen, including a bike park and numerous hiking trails in the south of Carinthia, you will feel the attitude to life on the Carinthian-Slovenian border.
MTB tours or e-bike tours start right on your doorstep. In the Bikepark Petzen right in front of your nose you can experience pure trail fun – from child’s play to suitable for the World Cup. The Petzen mountain railways including bike transport are located a short distance from the hotel: with the included Kärnten Card you are at the start of the trail free of charge and in no time.
The mountain is calling, but you’re not a fan of biking? No problem. In the middle of the Karawanken Geopark you will find the exciting underworld of the Petzen with hiking sticks or even a kayak, as well as the colorful Obir stalactite caves.
Find your inner peace on the Hemmaberg, one of the oldest pilgrimage destinations in Europe. Visit the fascinating, interactive exhibition of the geopark in the GEO.DOM on the Petzen, or jump on the zipline from “Europe to Africa” via Črna na Koroškem. On the Draufloß you can enjoy sailing across the border between Austria and Slovenia on the water. Would you like a jump into the cool water? Then off to Lake Klopein. If you prefer something small and familiar, you can also enjoy numerous relaxing hours at Lake Pirkdorf.

Arriving by car
The JUFA Hotel Bleiburg/Pliberk*** is located in the southern Carinthian region of Bleiburg. It is a perfect base from which to depart on infinite adventures and can be reached easily by car. Guests can make use of the free parking spaces for cars and buses.
Travelling from Germany, via Salzburg: Via the A 8 – from direction München across the Germany-Austria border to Salzburg. Stay on the motorway and continue on the A 10 towards Villach. After Villach continue towards Klagenfurt – A2 exit Griffen – L 127 (Lippitzbach main road). From there follow the signs to Bleiburg.
