Travel to bygone times and distant galaxies along Germany´s most well-preserved town wall, during a family holiday. The JUFA Hotel Nördlingen*** is a family-friendly hotel with an exciting room concept – it is dedicated to our planet! Guests travel on exciting celestial bodies in each room.
A meteorite impact approximately 15 million years ago left a huge crater with a diameter of 25 km! The round shape of the city outline, however, is not formed by the crater, although it is located right in the middle, in the Nördlingen Ries. The 53 galactic rooms are supplemented with the Meteorite Café, which has an inviting sun terrace for comfy gatherings with family and friends. The JUFA Hotel Nördlingen*** does not only feature galactic thrills and medieval knight’s bliss, but also relaxation in the in-house sauna.
A special highlight awaits you with the 2.7 km long tour of the town wall, which has been preserved to this day and dates back to 1327. Today, as then, you can enter the town centre via one of the five town gates.
Volleyball, soccer and a giant chess board are available for enthusiastic young and old guests! There is plenty of room for kids to let off steam on the large playground and they can play freely on the children´s playground.

The room concept is dedicated to the planets: 53 rooms, each one named after a celestial body. Next to it is the Meteorite Café with its sun terrace.

Food and drinks
Breakfast buffet daily from 7 to 10.30 am, at weekends until 11 am. Dinner buffet from 6 to 8 pm. Non-residents are welcome, the restaurant seats about 104 people. On request there is a knight’s dinner and raclette for two.

The town wall as an Attack on Titan backdrop
The closed, circular town wall is seen by fans of the series Attack on Titan as the real model for Wall Maria. The walkable rampart runs 2.7 km around the old town, and the view from the Daniel tower over the red tiled roofs is the most shared motif.
If you stay with us, the wall and the tower are yours at dawn, before the day visitors from Munich and Nuremberg arrive.

Town wall, Daniel tower and Geopark Ries
The town wall dates back to 1327, the circular walk is 2.7 km long and passes five town gates. From the 90 metre high church tower Daniel the watchman calls out „So, G’sell, so!“ every half hour between 10 pm and midnight. Nördlingen lies in the Nördlinger Ries, a meteorite crater 25 km across that formed around 15 million years ago. The Romantic Road runs 400 km from Würzburg to Füssen right past the town, and the LEGOLAND Germany Resort is a day out for the whole family.

Getting there
The JUFA Hotel Nördlingen*** is located in the town of Nördlingen. It is a perfect base from which to embark on infinite adventures and can be reached easily by car. Guests can make use of the parking spaces (€ 3.00/night) for cars and buses.
Travelling from Munich (A8): Travelling from Munich on the A8 to the Augsburg West exit, continue on the B2 to Donauwörth, from Donauwörth continue on the B25 towards Nördlingen. Take the Nördlingen Süd exit, continue on Augsburger Strasse and turn right into Adamstrasse. Continue straight ahead on the Bürgermeister-Reiger-Strasse, then take Lerchenstrasse until you reach the inner ring road (Innerer Ring). Turn left off the inner ring road into Bleichgraben where you will find the JUFA Hotel on the left hand side.
Travelling from Berlin/Nuremberg (A9): From Nuremberg continue on the A6 until you reach the Gunzenhausen exit, continue on the B466 to Nördlingen, continue along Nürnberger Strasse and turn right before the Löpsinger Tor into Bleichgraben where you will find the JUFA Hotel on the left hand side.
Travelling from Würzburg (A7): From Würzburg via the A7 until you reach the Aalen-Westhausen exit, then continue on the B29 until you reach Nördlingen, continue along the inner ring road (Innerer Ring) and turn right before the Löpsinger Tor into Bleichgraben where you will find the JUFA Hotel on the left hand side.
Travelling from Lindau/Bregenz (A7): From Lindau/Bregenz via the A7 until you reach the Neresheim exit, continue on the B466 until you reach Nördlingen, continue along Ulmer Strasse and then Herlinstrasse, turn left into Oskar-Maier-Strasse. Follow this road towards Würzburg as far as the inner ring road (Innerer Ring). Turn left off the inner ring road into Bleichgraben where you will find the JUFA Hotel on the left hand side.
