A romantic weekend, weddings or celebrations – the baroque Castle Röthelstein provides the perfect setting! It is situated in the heart of the Gesäuse National Reserve, high in the mountains above the village of Admont and is known due to its Benedictine monastery. It is also the perfect starting point for various hikes in the beautiful region.
Its romantic tower and gallery rooms with beautiful views, a gorgeous courtyard and the knights hall, a small castle chapel and the beautiful castle gardens compose an unique atmosphere. The castle is a place of inspiration and tranquillity – at the same time, it is also the background setting for private parties, corporate events, seminars and conferences.
An original preserved and at the same time Austria’s largest and still active „Rauchkuchl“ is not only a culinary tradition, but an unforgettable highlight. Once its fire is kindled, it will amaze the guests and spoil them with delicious food in a quaint ambience. In the morning, guests start off with a rich breakfast buffet in the impressive Arcade hall – lasting memories are guaranteed. After strengthening themselves, they play a game of tennis or football and get ready for a hike through the wild and romantic rustling, or opt for a exciting rafting tour in the wild waters. In winter, the small but fine Kaiserau ski area provides plenty of fun on the slopes, while passionate cross-country skiers explore the trails.
