Since May 2021, the JUFA Hotel Laterns***s welcomes you at over 1,000 meters above sea level in the municipality of Laterns in the idyllic Laternsertal valley – a side valley of the Rhine Valley – in Vorarlberg.
Spend relaxing vacation days in one of the over 47 comfortable rooms with modern wooden furnishings, an indoor sound wood play world for the kids, the spacious reception area with a sound wood café, and a wellness area with a sound wood sauna.
The JUFA Hotel Laterns***s is located right next to the Laterns cable cars, which take you directly from the hotel to the Gapfohl Alp, the starting point for numerous hikes – from leisurely to challenging. You can admire spectacular rock formations and waterfalls on a hike through the Üble Gorge, a gorge in the river valley of the Frutz.
Those who find the joy of the earth on the back of a horse are in the right place at the Trekkinghof Furx, while on the drive over the Furkajoch (L51 Laternser Straße) to the Bregenz Forest, you can enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery.
Directly at the hotel, a summer toboggan run, children’s cable car, climbing tower, trampolines, and a mini golf course invite you to test skill and courage.
Sports equipment such as mountain bikes can be found at the Herbert sports equipment rental shop directly at the valley station.
The Laternsertal valley is known far beyond the Austrian borders for its sound wood or tone wood, a high-quality wood for instrument making.

Getting there
Coming from Salzburg/Munich/Lindau: Take the A14 Rheintalautobahn and exit at Klaus. At the end of the exit, turn right onto Treietstraße. At the roundabout, take the third exit (Vorarlberg Str./B190) and follow B190. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto Treietstraße. Follow Laternserstraße L51 to Innerlaterns, then turn left onto Liftstraße, followed by Hofstraße until Kühboden – the JUFA Hotel will be on the right side.
Coming from Innsbruck/Vienna/Graz: Take the A12, pass through the Arlbergs/Arlbergtunnels, continue on S16 and A14 to the exit Feldkirch-Nord/Rankweil. Take the exit and at the end, turn right onto Langgasse/Räterstraße until Churer Straße. Follow Alemannenstraße and then Laternserstraße L51 to Innerlaterns. Turn left onto Liftstraße in Innerlaterns, then follow Hofstraße until Kühboden – the JUFA Hotel will be on the right side.
Free parking is available for cars and buses.
There are excellent train connections to Rankweil train station. From there, you can take Landbus 65 (see also the timetable of Verkehrsverbund Vorarlberg) for approximately 30 minutes to the final stop, Innerlaterns Schilift. From there, it’s a 2-minute walk directly to the JUFA Hotel.
