Between the Dolomites and the Karwendel Mountains, not far from Innsbruck and Bozen, lies the untamed beauty of the Wipptal Valley – the gateway to the south. Whether it’s skiing, family, or hiking vacations, in the wonderful landscape of the Wipptal Valley, one quickly feels like they’re in a movie set.
In the modernized hotel with bright rooms, warmly designed with wood, restful nights are guaranteed. Kids can romp around in the 400 square meter indoor adventure playground or on the outdoor playground. Adults can find peace and relaxation in the hotel’s own sauna area with a separate relaxation room and spacious fitness room. Social gatherings take place in the café or restaurant, by the fireplace, or in the cozy parlor – both during the day and in the evening.
The Bergeralm ski area extends over elevations from 1,000 to 2,200 meters above sea level. A total of 28 kilometers of well-groomed slopes in all difficulty levels provide uninterrupted skiing pleasure for both adults and children.
During the winter season, there is also the opportunity to take advantage of childcare at Bergeralm: Daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, except Saturdays.
Adjacent to the JUFA Hotel Wipptal* in Tyrol is the new information center for the Brenner Base Tunnel (BBT), where you can get current information on the progress of the construction work and experience exciting tunnel adventures up close!

Getting there
From Innsbruck, take the Brenner Motorway (A13, toll road) or the Brenner Federal Road (B182) to Steinach. In the center of Steinach (before Raika Wipptal-Steinach – a large yellow building), turn right and follow the signs for ‘Zu den Bergbahnen’ (To the mountain railways). After about 200 meters, you will reach the JUFA Hotel Wipptal***.
Free parking is available for cars and buses.
Steinach Train Station – also a stop for express trains! Excellent, regular train connections from Steinach to Innsbruck and back. The walking time to the JUFA Hotel Wipptal*** is 15 minutes.
For more detailed information on arrival options using public transportation, visit the websites of ÖBB and WESTbahn.
Upon presentation of the Wipptal Guest Card, you will receive free public transportation tickets in the Wipptal region. The journey from Innsbruck or Brenner is also free with an arrival voucher (information available upon request).
