The route is well-marked and predominantly follows regional bike paths, leading from the Steyr Valley through the Krems Valley and the Alm Valley to Lake Traunsee in Gmunden. It continues through the transition to the Alpine Foreland to Bad Hall, into the romantic town of Steyr and the Enns Valley, over the Reichraminger Hintergebirge and the Kalkalpen National Park to the Pyhrn-Priel region, and then back to Steyr.
