Climbing in Ausseerland/Salzkammergut
In the Ausseerland Salzkammergut, climbing enthusiasts can plan free tours or conquer well-known via ferratas. Different levels of difficulty promise variety and excitement. Those who conquer the Gösslerwand are treated to fantastic views of the village of Gößl, the surrounding mountains and, of course, the Grundlsee. Natural rocks and walls that are particularly suitable for this purpose are prepared to practice sport climbing and to master set levels of difficulty in training.

Via Ferratas in Ausseerland
The traditional Ausseerland region lives up to its name not only in traditional terms, but also in sporting terms: the Loser Panorama Via Ferrata “Sisi”, which opened in June 2007, owes its name to Empress Elisabeth, who is said to have climbed the Loser herself. The climb requires a great deal of courage and a head for heights – but it is definitely worth it!
